Saturday’s Release Party was an awesome success… marked mainly by the happy memories, mysterious bruises, and missing cases of Rosé. Gus and Stoli got their fair share of love and affection (which as we all know is never enough) and Patrick and Matt had their fair share of Mariano’s tacos... for better or for worse.... (KIDDING! KIDDING!!!)

If art is like wine...

...then we’re all for more of it here in the Yakima Valley. Wine, art, wine with art. (Afterall, “No poem was ever written by a drinker of water…" Ask Homer.)

Earlier this week, the Yakima Arts Commission approved a 9 foot spherical sculpture (the one pictured above) to be placed on the corner of Yakima Avenue and Second Street near the historic Larson Building in downtown Yakima, our little Big City neighbor. (Check out the full article here: http://newstalkkit.com/more-art-for-downtown-yakima-survey/) The YAC is waiting on approval from the City Council, which should be happening Tuesday, so keep your eye out for the decision and the public discussion that’s been going along with it.

Rosy Rosy Rosé!

"Pour deep the rosy wine and drink a toast with me; Here's to three: wine, thee and camaraderie!"

Yes, we are preparing for our Rosé Release Party next Saturday with cheesy toasts by old Victorian poets (Samuel Butler, if we’re getting into specifics…) about wine and good company. What can we say… we’re suckers! CHEERS!

The blog has been quiet but the winery’s been wild – we’ve got projects galore going in anticipation for a hot and hectic summer. And just in time for the rising temperatures… our crispy, cool, summer day Rosé!

Raise a glass with us next Saturday, May 26^th! We’ll have Mariano’s catering tacos from 12 – 5. The melon and cherry flavors on this Rosé will pair perfectly with his picante sauce – so enjoy a taco on us when you purchase a glass of it!

The tasting room will be open from 10 to 6, so bring a dog, a picnic, and the whole family. Drink, dance, enjoy. We’ve got holidays to celebrate…. all 365 of them!
