If art is like wine...

...then we’re all for more of it here in the Yakima Valley. Wine, art, wine with art. (Afterall, “No poem was ever written by a drinker of water…" Ask Homer.)


Earlier this week, the Yakima Arts Commission approved a 9 foot spherical sculpture (the one pictured above) to be placed on the corner of Yakima Avenue and Second Street near the historic Larson Building in downtown Yakima, our little Big City neighbor. (Check out the full article here: http://newstalkkit.com/more-art-for-downtown-yakima-survey/) The YAC is waiting on approval from the City Council, which should be happening Tuesday, so keep your eye out for the decision and the public discussion that’s been going along with it.

Meanwhile, we here at Two Mountain are wondering why our original scupture proposal was denied:
